Under Delhi Government’s project ‘Mission Convergence’, PRERANA has been selected as the District Resource Centre (DRC) for the Central District of Delhi.
The project aims at converging various social welfare schemes and services with the objective of making entitlements reach the poor through a single window system in a hassle free manner.
As a DRC, PRERANA would be a nodal agency in the Central District of Delhi and would be based at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office. PRERANA would identify and verify the beneficiaries, create awareness and facilitate and follow up the entitlement schemes and service deliveries.
This will be done with the help of Gender Resource Centres (GRCs), which would be identified NGOs working directly with communities at the grassroots level.
The project has been on board from December, 2008. The selection of employees and their induction has already begun.
